‎Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a telephonic conversation in which they discussed the joint 5-point proposal of Pakistan and China to reduce the ongoing tension in the Middle East.

‎The conversation between Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart emphasized the latest situation in the region, the effects of the war and the need to restore peace and stability.

‎This development has come after a joint 5-point peace plan was presented by China and Pakistan, which came after Ishaq Dar’s meetings during his recent visit to China.

The plan emphasizes adherence to the UN Charter, including an immediate ceasefire, the start of peace talks, the protection of civilian and commercial infrastructure and sea lanes.
