ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has rejected Indian media propaganda regarding the removal of the clause ‘not usable for Israel’ from passports.

An Indian channel recently claimed that the clause ‘not usable for Israel’ has been removed from Pakistani passports. Exposing India’s false propaganda in this regard, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has said that no such change has been made in Pakistani passports, and the clause ‘not usable for Israel’ in the passports remains intact.

The new passport will now include the mother’s name along with the father’s, and printing of new booklets has begun. In this regard, the DG Passports said that the national passport still states that it is ‘usable for all countries except Israel.’ In addition, a statement issued by the Ministry of Information said that Pakistan’s position on Israel is very clear and unequivocal. Pakistan has never recognized Israel nor is any kind of military cooperation under consideration.
