In response to the recent cowardly acts of terrorists on the Pak-Afghan border, Pakistani security forces have launched a counter-attack on enemy hideouts hidden across the border.
According to security sources, Pakistan Army artillery targeted terrorist strongholds in the border areas of Bajaur, Kurram and Mohmand, causing a fear in the enemy ranks. The latest weapons and artillery have been used in this counter-attack based on recent intelligence information.
Several terrorist training centres and shelters have been destroyed in the border areas across Bajaur and Mohmand. Several terrorists were reported killed and injured in this thunderous artillery action, while their arsenal was also destroyed.
This action is a clear message against the terrorist groups who are using Afghan soil to spread instability in Pakistan. After the recent clashes in Bazar Zakha Khel, Maro Sar and Shah Kot Sar areas of Khyber, security forces are on high alert along the entire border strip. The Pakistan Army has made it clear that there will be no compromise on the country’s security and any cross-border adventure will be met with a befitting reply.
Security experts said that this timely action by Pakistani artillery was indispensable to break the enemy’s back, which has once again proven that the forces are always ready and prepared to protect Pakistani borders.
The ministry of Information and broadcasting in its statement said that Afghan Taliban regime unprovoked action along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border given an immediate, and effective response. Afghan Taliban miscalculated and opened unprovoked fire on multiple locations across Pakistan Afghanistan border in KP which is being met with immediate, and effective response by Pakistan’s security forces.
Taliban regime forces are being delivered punishment in Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram and Bajaur sectors. Early reports confirm heavy casualties on Afghan side with multiple posts and equipment destroyed Pakistan will take all necessary measures to ensure its territorial integrity and the safety and security of its citizens.
After the intense tension on the Pak-Afghan border (Durand Line) for the last 48 hours, Pakistani security forces have further strengthened their positions. The soldiers deployed on the frontline have issued a “strict warning” in response to the continuous provocations from across the border.
According to security sources, the message from the soldiers on the border is clear and “No provocation by Afghanistan will be tolerated at all. Border violation, infiltration or any adventurism will be given a prompt and befitting reply. Pakistan is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and border integrity.”
Following Pakistan’s airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan on February 22, the Afghan Taliban have resumed unprovoked firing at Torkham, Tirah and Kurram locations.
The Pakistan Army has made it clear that these operations were carried out against the “Fitnat al-Khawarij” (TTP), and now any cross-border firing is being responded to with “pressurizing force”.
