ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have eliminated the group of militants responsible for the martyrdom of Wing Commander Colonel Junaid Tariq and his fellow soldiers in Orakzai.

According to official sources, nearly 30 terrorists were killed during coordinated military actions carried out in the Kurram and Orakzai districts.

The operation was launched following intelligence reports that the perpetrators of the recent attack were hiding in the region. Security officials confirmed that all key members of the network involved have been neutralized.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also addressed the issue during a cabinet meeting today, reaffirming the government’s determination to root out terrorism from the country. He emphasized that the state would now pursue an “all-out war” against extremist elements threatening national peace and stability.

The military has reiterated its resolve to continue operations until complete peace is restored, paying tribute to the sacrifices of officers and soldiers who laid down their lives in defense of Pakistan.
