PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on health on Wednesday during the meeting directed the tehsil headquarters hospital (THQ) Haripur to recover Rs 3million extra paid.
Public Accounts Committee Meeting on Health Department Audit
The meeting was chaired MPA Idress Khatak and attended by members of the committee and heads of the departments.
Audit Officer Asad reported that 3.4 million in illegal and additional payments were made at THQ Hospital
The DMS claims that the correct amount of additional payments is 2.8 million, not 3.0 million
According to the DMS 1.3 million has already been recovered and the remaining amount will be recovered soon
The Chairman of the PAC questioned why the remaining recovery has not been completed yet, noting that this is a 2016 case
The DMS responded that they would need a month to recover it.

The Special Secretary of the PAC raised concerns about the discrepancy in the figures, asking first to decide which figure is correct and why there is a difference between the two amounts
The Chairman of the PAC instructed that both of them should sit down together to determine why there is a difference in the figures
The PAC has given the DMS one month to recover the remaining funds
