ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that “own home” is the fundamental right of every citizen and providing loans on easy terms is the top priority of the government.
He has directed emergency measures to promote investment in the housing sector and create new employment opportunities.
According to the details, a meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister in which the task force and working groups for promoting investment in the construction and housing sector presented their proposals.
The meeting also reviewed the plans for providing low-cost houses and increasing employment opportunities in the sector.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif clarified that the boom in the construction sector will create millions of new job opportunities in the country. He also said that complete protection of their investments will be ensured to restore the confidence of overseas Pakistanis and foreign investors.
He directed the concerned authorities to immediately remove all legal and administrative obstacles in the way of investment and formulate a workable strategy for immediate implementation.
All stakeholders, including construction experts and investors, will be involved in the preparation of this strategy so that decisions can be taken according to the ground realities.
PM Shehbaz said that owning a home is the fundamental right of every Pakistani and the government is committed to turning this dream into a reality with the support of the private sector.
He added that there is a huge investment potential in the housing sector, which can help stabilize the economy.
These measures are part of the government’s commitment to the housing policy and the strategy to increase employment in the country, which aims to promote the development of the housing sector and investment in the country.
