Gohar criticizes Atta Tarar over controversial remarks

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar strongly condemned the recent remarks made by Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, calling them “highly irresponsible” and “an attempt to sabotage national unity at a critical time.”

Gohar said that people are mourning and attending funerals following recent attacks, and it is crucial for leaders to condemn terrorism responsibly. He added that he had previously appealed to the nation to view all bloodshed equally and condemned such acts without discrimination.

He warned that Tarar’s statements would allow terrorists to gain more power because national unity is vital for fighting against shared threats.

Barrister Gohar emphasized that PTI, and he personally, denounce such remarks under any circumstances and urged the Information Minister to apologize to the nation for making such statements during a period of mourning.

Minister Tarar used a press conference to accuse PTI of bringing back terrorism while he claimed his government had already eliminated that threat.
