Opposition presents five demands over the health of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan as the PTI set-in entered its sixth day in Islamabad.

Separate protest camps have been set up outside Parliament House and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House where opposition leaders and workers are present.

‎An important consultative meeting of the opposition alliance was also held at Parliament House in which a detailed discussion was held on Imran Khan’s health condition. In a statement issued after the meeting, five-point demands were presented to the government.

‎According to the statement, the opposition has demanded that the personal doctors of the founder PTI be given immediate and unhindered access. In addition, complete medical reports should be provided to the family and doctors so that the health condition can be accurately assessed.

‎The opposition has also demanded that continuous medical monitoring of Imran Khan be ensured and his personal doctors be given the right to meet and give independent medical opinions. Furthermore, those responsible for any delay in treatment should be held accountable and clear assurances should be given to prevent such incidents in the future.

Opposition leaders say that the issue of Imran Khan’s health should be taken seriously and humanitarian sympathy should be given priority over politics. On the other hand, the government’s response is being awaited, while political activities continue in the capital.
