In the context of the ongoing tension on the Pak-Afghan border, the latest situation of the ongoing ‘Operation Ghadh-e-Haq’ of the security forces  killed 67 Afghan armed militants  while foiling major cross-border attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the report, the Afghan Taliban carried out ground attacks at 16 different locations in Qila Saifullah, Noshki, and Chaman districts of northern Balochistan. In addition, Pakistani check posts were targeted with heavy weapons at 25 locations.

At least 27 Afghan Taliban were killed, and several others were injured in the effective counter-attack by the Pakistani forces, after which the attackers were forced to retreat. One FC Balochistan (North) jawan was martyred while defending the homeland, while five personnel were injured. Tensions were also on the rise in the border areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Here, the Afghan Taliban attempted a ground attack at one location while fire raids were conducted at 12 locations.

40 Afghan Taliban were killed in the security forces’ operations throughout the night. There were no casualties among Pakistani forces in the KP sector. According to the spokesperson, follow-up operations are still ongoing on both sides of the border to eliminate the hideouts of the miscreants. A detailed report of Operation ‘Ghazb-lil-Haq’ is likely to be released this afternoon.

Meanwhile, in midnight of March 2/3, TTA Khawarij tried to infiltrate into Thal Sector, in response to which Pakistani security forces opened fire with all weapons on TTA Khawarij posts. The brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army once again crossed the Pak-Afghan Border and captured the TTA post from which the fire had come and hoisted the Pakistani flag.

In addition, three more nearby TTA posts were destroyed by explosions and rendered unusable. Five Khawarij were killed in this attack and the rest fled, leaving the bodies behind.
