ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information has announced significant losses suffered by the Afghan Taliban and the Fitna al-Kharij during Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq.
Federal Minister for Information, Atta Tarar, reported that the Afghan Taliban experienced heavy casualties, with 796 fighters killed and over 1,043 injured during the operation.
According to the information released by Minister Tarar, 286 Afghan Taliban posts were destroyed, and 44 posts were captured. Additionally, security sources revealed that 81 terrorist hideouts were targeted through airstrikes, destroying 249 tanks, armoured vehicles, cannons, and drones.
There was also an attempt to attack an Afghan Taliban border post in the Ghulam Khan sector, which was successfully thwarted, leading to significant enemy casualties—37 fighters were killed, and more than 80 were injured.
Security sources state that Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq has severely weakened the terrorist network in Afghanistan, and operations against terrorism continue to ensure peace and stability in the region. This operation has also caused serious damage to the terrorists’ military capabilities and prevented an attack on a border post.
