ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Sunday released a detailed update on the ongoing ‘Operation Ghazb Lil Haq,’ confirming that the Afghan Taliban regime has suffered “heavy losses” in the wake of recent cross-border military actions.

According to the official figures provided by the Minister, the operation has resulted in the deaths of 583 operatives belonging to the Afghan Taliban regime, while more than 795 others sustained injuries.

Detailing the tactical successes of the security forces, Tarar stated that 242 enemy check posts have been destroyed, with an additional 38 check posts successfully captured and occupied by the security forces.

The Minister further highlighted the destruction of significant military hardware, noting that 205 enemy tanks, armoured vehicles, and artillery units were neutralised during the offensive.

The Information Minister also revealed that the air wing played a critical role in the operation, with airstrikes effectively targeting 64 different strategic locations inside Afghanistan.

Tarar emphasised that these measures are being taken to ensure regional peace and stability, asserting that the operation is a necessary step to defend the country’s territorial integrity and security.
