Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar said that only PTI founder Imran Khan can withdraw the call for a nationwide strike on February 08 next month, while the government has not issued any instructions regarding the withdrawal of the strike call.

According to the details, Barrister Gohar further said that PTI is trying to adopt the judicial route to seek justice, and the decision to withdraw the party’s strike call is only the control of the founder. He clarified that the government has not interfered in the strike and the party will continue its legal struggle.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai announced that a video statement will be issued on February 8, in which the public will be requested to keep shops closed and block the road, but not to abuse or pelt stones at anyone. He stressed that the protest would be peaceful and orderly.

Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi also said that a nationwide strike would be called on February 8. Addressing the rally, he told the people that the people of Abbottabad have always come out for democracy and are still waiting for the next call.

Following this development, political activities are intensifying in different parts of the country, and the impact of the strike on February 8 could be significant on the country’s economy.
