PESHAWAR: In the recent Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025, only 53 per cent of candidates have qualified Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar released the results of Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 within just 24 hours after the peaceful and transparent conduct of the exam, setting a new benchmark for professional competence and performance.
According to the KMU administration, only 58% candidates qualified for BDS, while only 2% candidates from across the province could score more than 170 marks.
Similarly, 9% of candidates scored between 160 and 170 marks, and 31% candidates could not qualify for admission in medical and dental colleges by scoring less than 90 marks.
KMU reported that 1539 candidates did not appear for the exam. However, 39,986 candidates from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had registered for MD CAT 2025.
