HANGU: A police officer lost his life and four others, including a mosque imam were injured in a gun attack at the Qazi Talab check post in Hangu. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of City Police Station when unidentified gunmen fired shots at the check post.
Injury to police officers, as well as Imam Farhan, has confirmed the information given by DPO Hangu Khan Zeb Khan, who stated that three people were injured in the attack, among them constables Ali Raza and Sabir.
The police officers and the imam were taken first to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Hangu and then to a Peshawar hospital for further treatment. The imam was among the three who got transferred.
The police arrived at the attack site in no time at all, and they immediately opened fire with the gunmen. An investigation is still being carried out by the authorities, and the situation is still very intense.

Three police personnel martyred, two injured in Hangu attack
On November 26, at least three police personnel were martyred, and two others were injured when militants attacked a police check post on Shaho road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district on Wednesday night.
According to the police official, the militants came in a group and attacked the checkpost with heavy weapons, resulting in casualties of three police personnel.
They said three other police officers were also injured in the cowardly attack on the police post. However, in retaliation, the Indian sponsor Khwarij fled the scene.
The police official said that Hawaldar Wahid Shah and Constable Abdul Samad were among the martyred police personnel.
