One person was killed, and two others were injured in an exchange of fire between two parties over a money dispute in Gulbahar Imamia Colony, Peshawar.
According to the police, there was a verbal altercation between the first party, Mian Naseer, and the second party, Moj Ali, over a money transaction, which later turned into an exchange of fire. As a result of the firing, a person named Saqib died, and two others were injured.
As soon as the incident was reported, police officers reached the spot with a heavy contingent, cordoned off the area, and started an investigation. Police say that the incident is not sectarian in nature but is the result of a financial dispute between the parties, while further legal action is underway.
After the incident large number of people and police surrounded the Gulabahar Police station and demanded an impartial enquiry into the incident.
