SAWAT: A tragic accident occurred in Kalam, Palogah, a tourist spot in Upper Swat due to brake failure of a car, resulting one dead and six injured.
According to spokesperson rescue 1122 Swat in the tragic accident six people being injured while a young man, Waris Khan (aged 28), died. All the deceased and injured tourists are said to be from Mingora, Malukabad.
Upon receiving the information, the Swat Control Room immediately dispatched two ambulances of Rescue 1122 along with medical teams to the scene on the instructions of District Emergency Officer Rafiullah Marwat.
The rescue medical teams took timely and effective action and provided first aid to all the injured on the spot, after which the injured and the dead body of the deceased Waris Khan was shifted to Kalam Hospital.
Later, two seriously injured persons were shifted from Kalam Hospital to Central Hospital Saidu for further treatment.
The injured have been identified as Riaz (38 years), Hammad (20 years), Ayaz (25 years), Haroon (18 years), Wajid (25 years) and Yasir (30 years).
