NOWSHERA (Fazal Nabi): The Nowshera police have arrested a husband and wife for the alleged murder of their landlord in the Shala Khel area of Nowshera Kalan. The tragedy reportedly stemmed from a dispute over vacating the property, which escalated during the time of Iftar.
According to the report filed by the victim’s wife, the tenant, Noshirwan, got into a heated argument with her husband, Arshad Maqsood. During the confrontation, Noshirwan allegedly directed his wife to bring him a pistol, which he then used to fatally shoot Maqsood.
Following the incident, District Police Chief Ahmed Shah formed a specialised task force led by SDPO Jawad Khan and SHO Faisal Khan. By employing modern investigative techniques, the team successfully tracked down and apprehended the couple. The suspects have since confessed to the crime, and the murder weapon has been recovered as further investigation continues.
