‎The business community of North Waziristan has expressed serious concern over the non-payment of compensation for losses incurred during Operation Zarb-e-Azb and demanded the provincial government and administration to release funds.

‎Amshadullah, President of Miranshah Bazaar, while talking exclusively to Pakhtun Digital, revealed that a total of Rs9029 million in compensation was approved for the traders affected by the operation, but despite the passage of years, Rs2987 million (approximately two and a half billion rupees) are still due. Amshadullah, President of the Bazaar, while providing important details regarding the distribution of funds, said that out of the Rs1.5 billion released by the federal government, Rs720 million has been received by the traders, while Rs780 million is with the provincial government but has not been released yet.

‎Amshadullah criticized the provincial government and said that despite the availability of funds, the delay in payments is an economic murder of the traders. He demanded that the provincial government immediately release the outstanding balance of Rs 78 crores it has. The traders have already lost everything due to the operation, now it is the height of injustice to be stranded for their rights. If the outstanding balance is not paid soon, the trading community will be forced to protest strongly.
