NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The North Waziristan administration on Friday announced that there will be a curfew across the district tomorrow on Saturday.
According to the district administration statement, due to the movement of security forces in the North Waziristan district, the administration has issued special instructions for the public. Curfew will be imposed in the entire North Waziristan from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
According to the announcement issued by the District Administration North Waziristan, movement of security forces is expected on Saturday, in view of which the general public has been directed to suspend all their daily activities during this time and remain confined to their homes.
The administration has appealed to the public to ensure full cooperation with the law enforcement agencies so that any untoward situation can be avoided. The announcement further clarified that the earlier ban on the movement of the public will remain in force from 10 pm to 5 am. Citizens have been strictly directed to follow precautionary measures and avoid going out unnecessarily.
Naqvi salutes security forces after successful North Waziristan operation
The Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, has praised the security forces for their well-executed operations against Indian-sponsored terrorists in North Waziristan.
In his statement, Naqvi applauded the forces for their professionalism and especially their promptness in action after the gunning down of seven foreign terrorists who had been engaging in subversive activities.
Minister Naqvi was impressed with the forces’ cleverness in unmasking the criminal plots of terrorists, as he quoted: “Security forces crushed the terrorists’ evil plans. I salute them for killing seven terrorists.”
The Interior Minister expressed his admiration for the bravery and professional conduct of the security forces. In his statement, he referred it as a turning point in Pakistan’s fight against terror. He assured the government’s ongoing work to uphold peace and security and indicated the security forces’ indomitable morale as the nation’s safety beacon.
