ISLAMABAD: Rana Sanaullah, the political adviser of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, has announced that the country will treat the terrorists harshly without exception.
During a program on a private news channel, Sanaullah was very outspoken in his criticism of the Taliban by accusing them of declaring war on Pakistan and claimed that the government would issue a strong and clear answer to the activities of the terrorists.
He pointed out that the Afghan Taliban, together with the extremists called “Fitna al-Khawarij” have been keeping Pakistan in a war state for 25 years uninterruptedly. He pointed out the absolute characteristic of wars and said that the war against terrorism was much worse than fighting in a conventional way.
The police and military are at the receiving end of the militants; the government has no other alternative than to kill or get killed, that’s what the minister was implying when he spoke,” asked Sanaullah, reiterating the government’s position that there would be no negotiations with the terrorists.
Sanaullah’s remarks were made in connection to the speculations that the Taliban might be responsible for the cross-border attacks and insurgent activities affecting Pakistan, which are the main sources of the ongoing security concerns.Sanaullah’s comments were made in direct relation to concerns that the Taliban are partly to blame for the ongoing cross-border attacks and insurgent activities that affect Pakistan.
In reaction to a rather bold remark made by the new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Sohail Afridi, Sanaullah interpreted Afridi’s address as the declaration of a martyrdom desire for the PTI cause, drawing parallels between his statements and those of a terrorist bomber. “It seems to me that he has proclaimed his decision to perish for the PTI’s originator,” Sanaullah said, further stating that such language was very disturbing.
