Pakistan’s T20 captain, Salman Ali Agha, has confirmed that no significant changes are expected in the national squad ahead of the T20 World Cup.
Salman Ali Agha stated that for the past six months, the team’s primary focus has been on the T20 World Cup.
He mentioned that they have formed the desired combination and that preparations are progressing well. The captain emphasized that the squad is fully prepared to compete at the highest level.
He also expressed his ambition of winning both the T20 World Cup and the 2027 ODI World Cup, highlighting the team’s long-term goals.
Salman praised Babar Azam as a world-class batsman who never needs guidance and described him as a friend and key asset to the team.
The captain also highlighted the importance of fitness when playing all three formats.

The latest T20 International rankings have been released, and Pakistani player Saim Ayub has reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Men’s T20I All-Rounder Rankings after his outstanding performance in the home tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
The 23-year-old opening batter scored a total of 118 runs over five innings, boasting a strike rate of 114.56. In addition to his batting contributions, Saim also took 3 wickets across four matches, including key dismissals in the final two matches, where he claimed one wicket each while scoring 27 and 36 runs, respectively. His all-round performances during the decisive moments of the series were instrumental to his team’s success.
