Chinese Defence company Norinco has introduced a revolutionary weapon against drone attacks, the Hurricane 3000, which is capable of destroying swarms of drones flying over a 3-kilometer area in seconds.

This advanced system is mounted on a heavy-duty truck and is equipped with a powerful microwave radiation-generating antenna that emits invisible electrical waves instead of traditional bullets or missiles.

The highlight of the Hurricane 3000 is its “soft and hard kill” mechanism; the intense waves it emits instantly burn the drone’s electrical circuits, flight controllers and communication systems, rendering it inoperable.

Experts say that this weapon is even more powerful than the American-made “LeonidAS” system, which has a range of only 2 kilometers. The system is equipped with a radar that can detect small drones at a range of up to 6 km and an optical tracking capability of up to 4 km, making it indispensable for protecting dense urban areas and borders.

The biggest advantage of this technology is its “unlimited ammunition” capability, as it runs only on electricity and does not require expensive missiles. According to defence analysts, the Hurricane 3000 will be the most effective and cheapest solution to the growing threat of drones on modern battlefields, as it strikes at the speed of light, making it impossible for any drone to evade it.
