Nixon Auto, a subsidiary of Nishat Group, has announced the initial prices and complete technical specifications of its most-awaited vehicle, the Jaicoo J5 SHSHEV.

The vehicle is being introduced in the subcompact hybrid SUV segment after its successful predecessor Jaicoo J7 and will provide premium technology to customers at an affordable price with a locally assembled unit. Surprisingly, industry analysts, the prices of the J5 have been kept quite attractive. According to the company, the price of the Jaico J5 Comfort has been set at Rs 6,699,000, and the price of the Premium variant at Rs 7,699,000. These prices will remain unchanged until March 10, 2026.

The base variant is priced at the same price as the Toyota Corolla Altis CVT 1.6, which shows Jaico’s intention to make the hybrid SUV an alternative at a sedan-level price. Both variants have a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain, which delivers 221 horsepower and 295 Newton meters of torque. Thanks to this, the vehicle can achieve a speed of 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. With a 1.83 kWh hybrid battery, the J5 has a claimed fuel economy of 18.8 km/l, making it a great choice for both urban and long-distance travel.

The design and dimensions of the Jaicoo J5 are also impressive. It measures 4,380 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, while the wheelbase is 2,620 mm. This size puts the car in direct competition with the Honda and Toyota Corolla Cross.

The exterior design features a ‘waterfall’ front grille and 18-inch alloy wheels, while the interior features a minimalist “nature-inspired” design, a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital cluster, and an eight-speaker premium audio system.

In terms of safety and technology, the top variant Premium includes advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection, a 540-degree panoramic camera, six airbags, acoustic glass and anti-pinch windows, ventilated front seats, and wireless charging.

The official bookings for the vehicle are now open, for which a partial payment of Rs 1,500,000 has been made. According to the company, the first batch is expected to be delivered in February 2026. With the growing trend of the hybrid market in Pakistan, the Jayco J5 stands out for its fuel economy and premium features, providing customers with a luxury experience without the ‘one crore’ budget.
