Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has clarified that news circulating by certain news channels that Ali Amin Gandapur’s security being withdrawn is baseless and fabricated.
Talking to the media, Sohail Afridi said that security has not been withdrawn from any personality. He said that the talk of withdrawing security is a complete lie and he does not have enough time to be busy with such matters. The Chief Minister said that the government’s priority is the release of the founder of PTI, while other matters are being unnecessarily made an issue. He said that if someone wants to be in the news by making a non-issue an issue, then he is not responsible for it.
It should be noted that yesterday, Ali Amin Gandapur had taken a stand in one of his messages that at 11 pm, the Chief Minister’s Deputy CSO called his security personnel and instructed them to “close” the next day. According to Ali Amin Gandapur, he had a jammer and a double cabin vehicle provided by the provincial government, with 14 security personnel deployed. He said that when the officials informed him about this, they instructed him to close.
He added that even if the security is returned now, he will not accept it and the Chief Minister does not need it. This rhetoric is being considered important in political circles, while the situation has become clear after the stance of both leaders on the issue.
