PESHAWAR (Kashif U Din Syed): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has announced the introduction of a School Leader App aimed at digitizing the monitoring of schools across the province.
According to official sources, the app is set to be formally launched on March 16 and will initially be rolled out on a pilot basis for one month. This initiative seeks to enhance academic discipline and oversight in public schools.
With the new system, the attendance, performance, and field visits of school leaders will be tracked through the online application. All school leaders will be required to submit their activity logs and visit reports via the app.
The application will also feature capabilities for recording students’ academic assessments, sharing model lessons, and documenting Parent-Teacher Council (PTC) meetings. Additionally, uploading photographic evidence will be mandatory.
Officials have stated that monitoring reports must include time-stamped and GPS-tagged photographs to ensure transparency and accuracy. For their first-time login, school leaders will need to use their ID, along with their national identity card number, as the password.
Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against school leaders who fail to fulfill their duties or do not submit reports through the app. Moreover, the performance and future evaluations of school leaders will be closely linked to their compliance with this new digital monitoring system.
