PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Housing, Dr Amjad Ali, has stated that the new Peshawar Valley Project achieved commendable progress.

The New Peshawar Valley is the largest housing project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The significant progress made by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority on this project in a short time is commendable. Dr Ali expressed these views while speaking to the media during an orientation session for the New Peshawar Valley Project held at the central office in Tehsil Pubbi, District Nowshera.

During the session, the Secretary of the Housing Department and the DG of KPHA briefed attendees about the progress of the New Peshawar Valley Project, its importance, necessary departmental reforms, and other ongoing housing initiatives. They informed the participants that the New Peshawar Valley project encompasses 106,000 kanals of land, divided into seven phases with varying plot sizes. Furthermore, they mentioned that essential steps are being taken to initiate work on the expressway, link roads, and Phase One of the project. The design of New Peshawar Valley includes all modern facilities and amenities.

In his address, Dr Amjad Ali praised the establishment of a compensation committee associated with the New Peshawar Valley. He stated that the project’s goal is to create a new city in the Peshawar district. Dr Ali also emphasised that the Housing Department is committed to eliminating corruption and nepotism. He conveyed that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa desires that all housing projects managed by the Housing Department be completed on time, in accordance with public expectations and needs, so that as many people as possible can benefit.
