PESHAWAR: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a revised gas load-shedding schedule for domestic consumers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, set to take effect from December through February.
Under the new schedule, households will receive gas in three daily time slots to accommodate cooking needs.
Consumers can expect gas supply from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM for breakfast preparations, with another window from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The evening supply will be available from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, allowing for dinner preparation.
SNGPL officials have indicated that there will be no load-shedding for the industrial sector, even with a significant increase in gas demand during the winter season.
The company reassured that gas availability in the system is sufficient, and there is no shortage. However, rising fuel costs require responsible consumption.
The utility has encouraged consumers to use gas efficiently and only as needed to help manage the increased demand during this season.
