Nationwide public holiday declared tomorrow, Thursday, as the nation will celebrate birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with national fervour and enthusiasm.

The birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, will be celebrated across the country tomorrow, December 25, with great devotion, respect, and national fervour. On this occasion, the federal government has declared a public holiday across the country, while the national flag will be hoisted on all government and private buildings.

The day will begin with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals. After Fajr prayers, special prayers will be offered in mosques for the repose of the soul of the founder of Pakistan and for the security and prosperity of the country.

A ceremony will be held at the Quaid-e-Azam tomb in Karachi, where a smart contingent of the Pakistan Air Force will assume the duties of the guard of honour. The President, Prime Minister, and top military leadership will visit the Quaid-e-Azam’s tomb and lay a wreath.

Special documentaries and talks will be broadcast on Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television (PTV) to pay tribute to the life and great struggle of Quaid-e-Azam. Seminars and elocution competitions will be organized in schools, colleges, and universities to enlighten the younger generation about Quaid-e-Azam’s thoughts.

On December 25, the Christian community will also celebrate its religious festival of Christmas. In this regard, cake-cutting ceremonies will be held in various government institutions to promote interfaith harmony, highlighting the importance of minority rights and religious freedom as per the vision of Quaid-e-Azam.
