PESHAWAR: The 149th birthday of Father of the Nation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is being celebrated with love and respect across the country today.

Different activities are going to take place at both official and non-official levels, where homage is going to be paid to the Leader of the Nation’s unparalleled efforts, guidance and foresight.

A splendid event of the changing of the guards will take place at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi, and there will also be guard of honour and flag hoisting ceremonies at the Quaid-e-Azam Residency to mark the birth anniversary.

The Father of the Nation shall be honoured through different activities, including seminars, conferences, and exhibitions nationwide.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s idea of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent was the major change in human history. On the way to an independent Muslim state, there were many difficulties, but after a long struggle, it was finally the day of Pakistan, August 14, 1947.

He was born on December 25, 1876 and was from a business family of Karachi. After completing his education at the Sindh Madrasa-tul-Islam Karachi, he went to London for higher studies and was called to the bar there.

The day is the renewal of the national vow that the struggle for the change of Pakistan will continue till it becomes a strong, prosperous and just country, living up to the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam.
