WASHINGTON: NASA has revealed a universal map of huge proportions aptly named the cosmos, which was virtually and practically made by the SPHEREx space telescope. This agency has a strong conviction that the map can play an important role in unveiling both ancient and modern cosmic mysteries that have baffled scientists for so long.

The first complete sky map ever created with the help of SPHEREx has provided an impressive three-dimensional perspective of the sky. The map features red-hot cosmic dust, hydrogen gas with electric blue color and stars in white, blue, and green hues, revealing the great abundance of elements in the universe.

By the versatility of the telescope capturing infrared wavelengths, the panoramic mapping presents the universe in a light that is not seen by the human eye. These infrared pictures and other very vivid reflections will be of great help to the scientists in acquiring better knowledge of the universe and the basic forces that control it.

NASA is optimistic that this map will be the key to unlocking the secrets of star, galaxy, and other celestial objects’ formation and to shedding light on many of the universe’s mysteries that have remained.”
