ISLAMABAD: winter arrives in Naran-Kaghan valley, welcoming tourists with freezing weather conditions.
The Naran-Kaghan Valley has entered its winter phase, with experiencing a significant drop in temperatures. According to the latest Naran-Kaghan weather forecast, the region is seeing clear skies alongside freezing conditions.
Naran-Kaghan Weather Today
Day time temperatures in Naran is around -12°C (10°F) and is expected to remain below freezing overnight. The 10-day forecast predicts mostly sunny and clear conditions, with minimal chances of snowfall. Despite the bright sunshine during the day, the cold remains intense, particularly at night. Travelers are advised to carry heavy winter clothing, including jackets, gloves, and warm caps, to stay safe in the freezing temperatures.
In contrast, Kaghan is experiencing relatively mild conditions, with daytime highs around 21°C (70°F) and nighttime lows of 3-5°C (37-41°F). The 10-day forecast also indicates sunny and dry weather, making it a pleasant destination for daytime travel, though nights will remain chilly.
First Snowfall of the Season hits Naran-Kaghan valley
The season’s first snowfall has hit the Naran-Kaghan region, leaving many travelers stranded in the valley. Heavy snow has blocked several roads, halting vehicle movement towards Naran.
Dozens of tourists were stuck at various points along the routes, with most reaching safer areas the following morning. Some travelers were forced to spend the night on the road due to the snow.
Police and local volunteers assisted the stranded visitors, ensuring their safety until roads were cleared.
Currently, Naran is not fully open for tourists. The Babsur Top Road and the Naran–Jhalkhad route are closed due to heavy snowfall.
