The Interior Minister expressed his admiration for the bravery and professional conduct of the security forces. In his statement, he referred it as a turning point in Pakistan’s fight against terror. He assured the government’s ongoing work to uphold peace and security and indicated the security forces’ indomitable morale as the nation’s safety beacon.
Seven Indian-backed terrorists killed in Waziristan IBO
Seven militants belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij were killed in two separate operations in North Waziristan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, on Tuesday, says ISPR
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on the reported presence of khwarij, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in the general area of Mir Ali. During the conduct of the operation, their own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, six khwarij were sent to hell.
Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in the general area of Spinwam. In the ensuing fire exchange, one more kharji was effectively neutralised by the security forces.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Indian sponsored khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the Security Forces, Law Enforcement agencies and target killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area as a relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Four persons, including the Assistant Commissioner martyred and three others were injured in a horrific attack that took place on the convoy of Assistant Commissioner North Waziristan Shah Wali Khan.
The incident took place in the Masoomabad Mamand Khel area on Miranshah road. Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali Khan was travelling with his squad on Bannu Miranshah Road when armed men targeted his vehicle. As a result of the attack, Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali Khan was martyred on the spot. The martyred included two security policemen and a common passer-by, bringing the total number of deaths to four.
Three people, including two security personnel and the driver of Shah Wali Khan, were also injured in the attack and were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Bannu.
According to the police, the attackers also snatched weapons from the injured policemen. On receiving information, a large contingent of police reached the spot and cordoned off the area, and a search operation was launched as the search for the attackers was underway.
Assistant Commissioner Bannu confirmed that contact with Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali Khan was lost after the attack, and the attack was carried out in a very organised manner. This incident indicates a serious threat in view of the current security situation in North Waziristan and Bannu, after which the police and other law enforcement agencies are on high alert in the area.
It should be noted that the Khawarij have consistently claimed that their enmity is only with the security forces and not with the people. However, today’s cowardly attack exposes their lie that, in reality this group is an enemy of the people and in its operations, it relentlessly targets the lives and property of ordinary citizens.
This tragic incident has also highlighted the failure of the provincial government. On October 10, 2025, the DG ISPR had said in a press conference in Peshawar that the number of CTD personnel in the province is only 3,300, which is extremely inadequate for such a large and sensitive province. The 13-year continuous government of the PTI could not take any effective step to increase the capacity of the CTD, which resulted in the police and counter-terrorism agencies failing to deal with the growing security challenges.
