LAHORE: The names of the possible squad of players XI of the Pakistani team for the first test match against South Africa have been revealed.

According to sources, it is being considered to go with two regular fast bowlers and two spinners in the first Test. The first Test between Pakistan and South Africa will start on October 12; the players of both teams will hold a training session at the Gaddafi Stadium this afternoon.

Sources said that the playing XI of the first test is being considered by the Pakistan team management. The interim head coach Azhar Mahmood is impressed with the bowling of spinner Asif Afridi and is in favour of his debut.

Sources say that the names of Abdullah Shafiq, Imam-ul-Haq, Shan Masood, and Babar Azam are being considered for the possible playing XI, in addition to Saud Shakeel, Muhammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, and Sajid Khan also included in the squad of 11 players. The names of Shaheen Afridi, Noman Ali, and Khurram Shahzad are likely to be included.
