SWAT: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has officially launched an investigation into former provincial minister Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai. The investigation will also include his brother, son, and other family members.

NAB Peshawar has requested complete records regarding the purchase and sale of lands owned by Fazal Hakeem and his family in a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Swat. The letter instructs that details of all properties belonging to the former minister and his family be provided along with the official records.

In response, the Deputy Commissioner of Swat has directed the Assistant Commissioners and Sub-Registrars of all seven tehsils in the district to begin an investigation into the land records. The relevant staff is currently gathering this information, which will be sent to NAB Peshawar through the Deputy Commissioner.

Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai stated that NAB has requested information about several properties attributed to him, including “Unique Kitchen,” “Pameer Hotel,” and some assets near the Mingora bus stand. He emphasised that he publicly declares that none of these properties or assets belong to him. He further stated that if anyone can prove ownership of these properties, he would gladly transfer them to the public for community use.

He expressed his readiness for accountability, stating, “I have no fear of any transparent and fair investigation. My life and my record are an open book. I believe that accountability strengthens the system and gives dignity to the nation.”

The former provincial minister also reiterated his unwavering support for Imran Khan, saying, “I want to make it clear that I was, am, and will always be with Imran Khan. My morale did not weaken after May 9, and it never will. We will stand with Imran Khan for his ideology, his manifesto, and the justice system until the last drop of our blood. The truth never needs to be hidden, and I stand with the truth.”
