ISLAMABAD: The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) on Sunday night closed several routes of the Motorway in Punjab due to dense fog and instructed commuters to avoid unnecessary travel.
According to the NHMP, visibility on motorways has decreased, leading to the closure of various routes for all types of traffic to prevent accidents.

As per details obtained from the NHMP official accounts, M1 has been closed from Thokar Niaz Baig to Kot Momin, while M3 was closed for traffic from Faizpur to Samandari.
M4 is closed from Pindi Bhatian to Gojra, and the Faisalabad to Abdul Hakim section is also closed for all types of traffic until visibility improves tomorrow morning.
Similarly, the NHMP also blocked the traffic on the M11 motorway from Lahore to Sambhrial. The authorities have urged the commuters to avoid unnecessary travel and use the main trunk road in case of an emergency.
