NOWSHERA: In an effort to promote road safety and protect valuable human lives, the National Highways and Motorway Police have launched a special awareness campaign titled No Fine, Only Helmet across the North Region.

Under the guidance of Additional IG North Region Wisaal Fakhar Sultan Raja and Sector Commander North One Farakh Raza, the campaign aims to encourage motorcyclists to wear helmets and reduce the risk of fatal injuries in accidents.

As part of this initiative, DSP Irfan Faisal and Admin Officer Atif Ullah Shah distributed free helmets to motorcyclists at various locations in Beat One, North One. Instead of issuing fines, the officers emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws and wearing helmets. During the distribution, motorcyclists were informed that wearing helmets is highly effective in preventing serious head injuries during accidents.

DSP Irfan Faisal highlighted the invaluable nature of human life, emphasizing that the primary goal of the motorway police is to ensure the safety and protection of the public. He urged motorcyclists to make wearing helmets a habit for their own safety and that of their families, adding that following traffic laws is equally important.

DSP Faisal also stressed that motorway police are not just law enforcement officers but are actively working to guide and protect the public. The “No Fine, Only Helmet” campaign focuses on raising awareness rather than penalizing bikers, aiming to ensure their safety on the roads.

Motorway Police officials further stated that the awareness campaign has been successfully ongoing and will continue in the coming days, with more helmets being distributed at various locations to further promote road safety awareness among the public.
