Despite the formal announcement by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee that the moon has not been sighted, announcements were made from various mosques of Bajaur district to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow, Friday, March 20.
According to local sources, announcements were made on the loudspeakers of mosques in different areas of Bajaur to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow, Friday, March 20, after which preparations have started at the local level to celebrate Eid tomorrow.
It should be noted that the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon has not been sighted anywhere in the country and has announced to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday, March 21.
The important meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to see the moon of Shawwal 1447 AH is underway in the federal capital, however, no evidence of the moon has been received from any part of the country and Eid will be celebrated on Saturday.
The meeting presided over by the Chairman of the Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, in which prominent scholars of different schools of thought, experts from the Meteorological Department and representatives of Suparco are participating.
