KARACHI: Participants at the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf rally in Karachi on Friday busted a group of mobile snatchers from the procession and handed them to the local police.

In a video statement, the complainant (victim), whose mobile and wallet were also pickpocketed at the rally, says that they caught a group of mobile snatchers at the rally who had stolen his mobile and recovered 5-6 mobile phones from their possession that they had stolen from the rally participants.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, along with the cabinet members and MPAs, is on a visit to Karachi and has scheduled rallies to be held at various locations.

“We were coming out of the Airport at the rally when they took out my wallet and mobile phone. When we checked their pockets found several mobile phones, and now the other stolen mobile owners have also come here; they are looting our guests who came from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” He said.

He added that he requested the SHO to take strict action against these mobile snatchers who snatch mobiles and wallets from their guests.
