According to police sources, unknown persons opened fire on the house of national cricket team fast bowler Naseem Shah. They said the main gate of the house, windows and a vehicle were partially damaged in the firing.
The police official said a heavy contingent of police had been dispatched to the spot as soon as the information was received. Police said the attackers had managed to escape after the attack on the cricket player’s house.
Police have cordoned off the area and started a search operation, and five suspects have been taken into custody.
The case of the incident has been registered at the Jandol Mayar police station, and operations are underway to arrest the militants.
