SWAT (Shahzad Naveed): A minor fight between children in the Saidu Sharif area of Swat district turned into a bloody clash, resulting in the death of a lawyer-cum activist and injuries to seven people from both sides.
According to Swat police sources, after an altercation between the two groups within the limits of the Saidu Sharif police station, an exchange of fire took place, resulting in the death of Attaullah Jan, an advocate.
As a result of the firing, Fazalullah, Muhammad Sartaj and Mansoor from one side were injured, while Fazal Khaliq, Fazal Rahim, Habibullah and Ashfaq from the other side were hit by bullets.
Immediately after the incident, police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Casualty Hospital, where they are being provided medical assistance.
The police have started investigating the incident so that legal action can be taken against those involved.
