PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication and Works Mina Khan Afridi has set an example of transparency and good governance by cancelling road repair tenders in Tank within a day of their issuance.

According to official sources, the tenders were issued in violation of clear directives from Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who has strictly prohibited the initiation of any development project under individual names.

Afridi stated that the advertisement was released during a transitional period when departmental portfolios were being reassigned. He said the process did not comply with prescribed rules and regulations, adding that a detailed inquiry would be launched to identify those responsible.
