The prices of petroleum products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have increased significantly, as outlined in a recent notification.

According to the new rates, the price of petrol has risen by over 30%, while the price of diesel has surged by approximately 70%. Specifically, the price of Super Petrol has gone up from 2.59 dirhams to 3.39 dirhams per litre.

The price of Special 95 petrol has increased from 2.48 dirhams to 3.28 dirhams per litre, and E Plus 91 petrol is now priced at 3.20 dirhams per litre. In contrast, diesel has seen the most dramatic increase, rising from 2.72 dirhams to 4.69 dirhams per litre.

This extraordinary rise in oil prices is attributed to the recent conflict between Iran and the United States, which is causing significant unrest in the global market. Experts have raised concerns that if the regional situation deteriorates further, the global price of crude oil could reach $200 per barrel.
