RAWALPINDI: A specialized medical team has arrived at Adiala Jail to conduct a thorough eye examination of the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) due to concerns about his eye health.

Sources within the jail confirm that the medical team consists of four doctors, including prominent ophthalmologists Dr. Nadeem Qureshi and Dr. Arif, along with additional medical staff. This team has been assembled under a judicial order issued by the Commissioner of Islamabad.

In addition to the doctors, the team has brought an ambulance equipped with specialized medical equipment to facilitate the examination and ensure comprehensive care.

This medical intervention is part of ongoing efforts to address the health concerns of the PTI leader while he remains in custody at Adiala Jail.

‎Following the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, a high-level medical board conducted a comprehensive health assessment of PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.

This development comes amid growing concerns regarding the former Prime Minister’s eyesight and overall well-being.

‎The medical team focused primarily on a reported vision loss in Mr. Khan’s right eye. Sources indicate a diagnosis of Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO).

The PTI founder previously claimed that his vision in the affected eye has dropped to approximately 15%. A team of five senior specialists (including ophthalmologists from PIMS and Holy Family Hospital) spent over an hour conducting tests. An ambulance equipped with advanced eye-examination machinery was brought inside the jail premises via Gate 5.

‎ The preliminary report includes a detailed chart of Mr. Khan’s blood pressure, pulse, body temperature, and glucose levels. The initial medical findings have been officially dispatched to the Punjab Home Department.
