Condemning the death of three-year old child Ibrahim due to open manhole, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the Mayor of Karachi has taken over all the institutions and corruption have become best hobby of the city district administration.
While holding a press conference in Karachi along with Munem Zafar, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that citizens are being humiliated in the name of BRT. He said that corruption has become a major business in the Sindh government, everyone knows who is sponsoring them, there are also problems in the design of this BRT. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that there is a demand that the BRT project be terminated, University Road be restored. A house is being occupied in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on fake documents.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said that if anyone occupies the house of any citizen, Jamaat-e-Islami will resist, Jamaat-e-Islami has formed a cell against the occupation of Karachi’s lands. He said that resistance will be exerted against the occupation of lands, the government should rein in those running the system. Occupancy is happening everywhere in Pakistan, the land of farmers and peasants is being occupied.
He said that fake societies have been formed on the banks of the Ravi River, fake societies are being formed, river channels are being occupied, the struggle against land occupation will be an important part of the change system. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman says that the MQM fights a war of words, fooling the people. When the KDA, LDA, and MDA were being occupied, the MQM stood with them.
The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said that resistance will be made against the occupiers, no one is concerned about the condition of this city, the government is responsible for the situation, the citizens of Karachi will not be left abandoned. He said that the land of small farmers is being occupied, Karachi should have received a thousand billion rupees, this clause was abolished during Mustafa Kamal’s rule, the MQM was part of the government at that time.
Meanwhile Muneem Zafar condemned the incident of open main hole in Karachi and said that Children are falling into the sewerage and there is no infrastructure in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Muneem Zafar said that children are falling into the sewer, dying, infrastructure is in ruins, we condemn this incident. He said that the body of the drowned child could not be found even after 12 hours.
