MARDAN: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has praised Pakistan for demonstrating its ability to play a pivotal role in resolving global issues. Speaking at the “Dastoor-e-Islam” conference in Mardan, he stated that the world now recognizes Pakistan’s capacity to handle international matters, as nations seek peace while engaging on Pakistani soil.
“Pakistan has shown its capabilities in solving world problems, and today, nations of the world are coming to our land seeking world peace,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said. He further said that the current position Pakistan has achieved is something which the country had always wanted to have.
In his speech, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has further said that Pakistan has struggled for many years to achieve this position. “We have struggled for many years, but today our struggles have born fruits. We have wanted Pakistan to be like this,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said.
While talking about the problems of the Middle East region, Fazlur Rehman called Israel a “terrorist state” and pointed out that Israel was oppressing the Palestinians for years now. He said, “We have always said that Israel’s presence from here till Iran was a threat to our country.”
Moreover, he added, “The people of Pakistan and Muslim Ummah will never let the coalition of Modi and Zionists succeed.”
JUI-F leader went on to criticize the government and said that although the likes of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari would bow down to the demands of India, JUI would definitely resist such moves. He referred to the government as an “illegitimate government.” “A fake currency is no better than anything, likewise, a fake government will not serve its purpose either,” he said. “What we have got are leaders without any value or worth, and hence their policies are not genuine.”
