ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has confirmed that the matriculation exams will proceed according to the previously announced schedule.

In a statement, the Board announced that the exams for 9th and 10th grades are set to take place on April 9 and 10, respectively, as planned.

The Board assured both students and parents that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the exams are conducted smoothly and on time. This confirmation comes in response to concerns about potential disruptions due to ongoing events.

FBISE officials emphasized the importance of adhering to the exam schedule and encouraged students to prepare diligently for their respective subjects.

The Office of the District Magistrate has announced that April 9th and 10th, Thursday and Friday, will be local holidays within the Islamabad Capital Territory.

This announcement affects all government offices and institutions in the region, providing a brief break for the public. However, essential services will remain operational to ensure that critical infrastructure continues to function smoothly.

These essential services include the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), Capital Development Authority (CDA), ICT Administration, ICT Police, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), and hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Residents are encouraged to plan their activities accordingly, as some services may be impacted during this period. For any urgent matters, residents should contact the relevant essential service departments.
