ISLAMABAD: Sher Afzal Marwat, a Member of the National Assembly, has brought forward allegations regarding the collection of funds and the handling of legal costs within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
During a TV show Marwat stated that 380 million PKR was gathered under the banner of November 26 donations yet no transparent accounting has been disclosed. He asserted that these amounts were allegedly overseen by Aleema Khan and Khadija Shah with no clarity, on how the funds were utilized.
Marwat also mentioned that Imran Khan has only one attorney, Salman Safdar, who, as per him, received 240 million PKR from former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. He further noted that overall lawyer fees have surpassed one billion PKR.
Pointing out issues, Marwat charged the party with poor financial oversight and irregularities linked to commissions in legal representation cases. “Dishonesty and wrongdoing are evident in every area” he stated.
He clarified that he protested with a loud voice against these issues and therefore, he was targeted. Marwat appealed the party to disclose the information to the donors who have given their trust to PTI with their contributions during the last two to three years that the money has been utilized in the proper way.

Sher Afzal Marwat levels fresh allegations against Aleema Khan
On 27 November, Sher Afzal Marwat, a Member of the National Assembly has asserted that Aleema Khan, the sister of the PTI founder ousted Omar Ayub to promote lawyer Salman Akram Raja to the party’s leadership.
During a talk show on Hum News news channel, Marwat said that than resolving administrative problems the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership appointed individuals of their own preference. He claimed that PTI no longer possesses the strength to organize protests.
He mentioned that there was a period when the government promptly dealt with PTI every time the party demonstrated. Currently the circumstances have entirely shifted.
Sher Afzal Marwat further said that Aleema Khan not only excluded Omar Ayub but also marginalized Shibli Faraz.
Commenting on the situation outside Adiala Jail, he said that many people gather there only to appear in photographs.
