ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat openly criticized his party’s leadership, saying that the parliamentary wing of PTI has weakened due to the actions of Aleema Khan, whose statements frequently create controversy.

Speaking on a private TV program, the PTI founder Imran Khan issued a command to his daughter Aleema Khan to avoid making public statements from her prison location, but she disobeyed him, which created conflicts that destroyed the party’s message.

Marwat stated that he only takes part in party functions that take place inside Parliament because he chooses not to join events that occur beyond legislative spaces.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa strike on February 8 will not lead to a complete provincial shutdown, according to Marwat, because he explained that such operations require more effort than simply pressing a button. The party announced a shutdown and vehicle block campaign but they did not implement any actual operational activities.

He stated that nobody attempted to reach out to traders and transporters which resulted in creating confusion that affected the entire public.

Marwat expressed his strong disapproval of the party’s recent statement delivery method because some officials present themselves with such a high social status that they act as if they hold authority over others who serve in subordinate positions. He proposed that future commands from superiors will include an order that prohibits breathing.

He asked why Khyber Pakhtunkhwa faced shutdowns while the people from that province had committed no wrongdoing.

Marwat stated that the party needs to establish a nationwide protest movement that demands Imran Khan’s release because this approach represents the most effective strategy to strengthen party operations.

The political party’s official statements contain an arrogant delivery which Marwat described as showing officials who choose to treat others as their subordinates. The next order might even be to stop breathing, according to his humorous suggestion about what might come next.

He asked why the government only targeted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for shutdown operations while the province’s residents had done nothing wrong.

According to Marwat, the only effective way to strengthen the party is a vigorous protest movement for Imran Khan’s release which requires the participation of people and workers across the country.
