PESHAWAR: Member of the National Assembly, Sher Afzal Marwat, has alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is presently dominated by Aleema Khan, the sister of the Imran Khan, the founder of PTI.

During the talk on a private news channel, Marwat also shared that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is now aware of the danger of a “governor’s rule” scenario and that it’s the reason why Sohail Afridi is busy thinking about his political survival.

Marwat speculated that Sohail Afridi might be more willing to follow the instructions of the federal government which is a clear indication of the shift in the party’s approach that he has made.

He further stressed the point that the founder of PTI was not allowed to make any changes to the party’s policies and that PTI is practically the one under the control of Aleema Khan who has been exercising significant influence over the party’s affairs.

Meanwhile, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, leader of the Pakistan Constitutional Protection Movement, in his rebuttal, argued that differences inside the PTI weren’t deep enough to cause a rift in the party’s policy.

Moreover, he put stress on the fact that the founder of PTI had ordered that no individual decision-making was to be done and the consultations of Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas had to be done every time.

Khokhar confirmed again that the opposition is not taking part in any street protests but is rather trying to communicate. He also pointed out that Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas would be in dialogue with other political parties and the members of civil society for the purpose of coming up with a unified strategy.
