ISLAMABAD: A member of the national assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Sher Afzal Marwat, stated that the political interference of Imran Khan’s sisters has been detrimental to the party’s progress and the release of Imran Khan.

During a talk show on a private news channel, Marwat declared, “If the sisters of Imran Khan were not involved in politics, I could have secured the release of the founder of the PTI by November 2024.”  It was also stated that the party lost due to the influence of the sisters of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The former Chief Minister of KP, Ali Amin Gandapur, was removed under the influence of this woman.

Loyalty in PTI, according to Marwat, is akin to having Wi-Fi signals. They are strong only when the signals are strong. Marwat said, “There is no part of PTI that has been free from the interference of Imran Khan’s sisters.” He added, “My differences with Aleema Khanum are negligible.”

He also said that he always told Imran Khan what he thought to be the truth, and during his meetings with the party leader at Adiala Jail, he felt under surveillance by the party insiders.

Marwat suggested Imran Khan’s sisters should talk in a manner beneficial to the party. “If there had been no political involvement of sisters, the founder could have been released by November 2024. The main target of Aleema Khanum is Barrister Gohar,” he added.

The protest scheduled for February 8 will not succeed, according to Marwat’s assessment of its chances. The demonstration in Peshawar will gather a significant number of participants, according to him but he expects it to not affect governmental operations. He stated that “The government should focus on safety measures, such as precautions against kite strings during Basant, on that day.”
